Heart Shaped Box as of August 27, 2009

I decided to take advantage of today's somewhat cooler weather and go to the studio for an hour to work on this project, a heart-shaped box that I am covering with collage and decoupage. I am pasting pieces of printed metallic ribbons to the box, using acrylic gel medium for glue. Hot weather makes this more difficult because everything is stickier and harder to control. But I opened the window to catch a breeze, and then got to work. I spent the first half hour on the inside of the box top, then switched to the red interior area. Then I filled in a few more gaps around the outside (gold area) which is almost finished.
