This is a work-in-progress. I am trying to recapture a memory of a childhood trip to Estes Park, Colorado. My reference (posted here April 14) is a digitally modified version of a black-and-white snapshot taken in 1956. Today I raised the line of the purple mountain range by just a bit, and then used blue-violet wash over the blue range and the purple range, trying to get them to blend together a bit. Tomorrow I plan to mute the colors in the distance with a pale wash. To be continued. . . .
