This morning, I worked on this painting, a view of the Colorado mountains from Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs. My reference, posted here April 5, is a photo that I took of the during my latest trip to my home state in June of 2016, digitally modified. Today I changed a few lines, and then started added color, working by section. I worked on it longer that I had intended. I kept going until I at least had some color on each section, and then did a bit of work to start to smooth things out. There are still lots of changes to make in terms of color and light and dark, but at least I have the basic idea down. To be continued.
