Rising Sun on Woods and Snow (Oil Bar Painting Day 5)

I have been painting, a little bit every day, to get ready for a show that starts in late January. Once I had all of the canvases roughed in, I began to go back to earlier paintings and make small adjustments. This is my painting of a sunrise on snow as it looked on Day 5 (which was December 29). I had been looking at this painting quite a bit, and had been thinking of gently extending some of the foliage near the top of the painting. I tried the idea out in a small area. I like the way it looked, so I added just a little more. Then I stopped, which was very important!
