This is a work in progress, a drawing that I have been working on this week. It is going to be used in our food blog, http://seasoningforeverypalate.wordpress.com, to illustrate a recipe for beet borscht. This morning I worked out the color for the background, pale gray leaning toward purple. I layered purple conte crayon with gray colored pencil to get this color. I also added a little more color to the lettering. I am considering adding a little bit of pink to the bowl, but apart from that, I think the color scheme is set. But I still need to do some cleanup and sharpen up the lines.
