Here is my painting of magnolia blossoms as it looked after yesterday's painting session. I am using one of my photos as a reference (posted here August 14). This is oil bar on an 8 x 12 inch canvas. Yesterday I added some shadows to the branches. I mixed purple with cobalt blue and green to get a dark purple. I added it to the parts of the branches that are in shadow, using my reference photo as a guide. I decided I was going in the right direction. This is still a work in progress. To be continued. . . .
