Tonight I used Painter to create this digital woodcut, working from a photo that I took on August 7. We stopped off at one of the tiny seaside parks off of Lothrop Street, here in Beverly, MA. These little parks are hidden away, so small you might miss them entirely. Each one is about the size of a lot for a house; they all begin at street level, but slope down to the sea, some with a staircase. Each one is marked with a little sign that says, "Please enjoy this public way." And I do.
