Today's adventure was a walk at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA. We strolled along the walkway, looking toward the ocean to our left, hoping we might catch a glimpse of one of the tall ships heading north from Boston to Canada. (Sadly we didn't.) But I looked to the right instead and saw this beautiful stone stairway and took a picture. Tonight I cropped the original to get this composition, in the process sacrificing the two bottom steps, one of which was missing some stones. Well, in art, and in life, it doesn't pay to worry about what you can't see. If you do, you might miss something that is right in front of you.
