This is the painting I started two days ago, and it is still a work in progress. This is part of a series that I call "Mountain Daydreams," landscapes painted from imagination and my memories of the mountains back home in Colorado. This is acrylic on Aquaboard (16 x 20"), and because I am working with water, I can build up layers of color. Today I started by added a translucent layer of pale pink to the sky, to tone down the blue. Then I added layers of yellow-green to the mountains. I also changed the color of the sun and added some pink outline to the mountains. There is a little more to do, but I hope to finish this one tomorrow. To be continued. . . .
