I worked on this painting today, a mountain landscape inspired by memories of Colorado. This painting began with a family snapshot taken during a family trip decades ago. I modified the original photo with Painter and used the result as my painting reference (posted here January 2, 2020). Today I fussed with some of the lines in the foreground. I turned the painting and the photo reference upside-down and revised some of the shapes in the mountains. But I decided that the painting was finished, and it was time to move on to the next project. This painting was just hard for me to leave, and so was Boulder.
