Here is my painting as it looked on May 14. I hadn't touched this painting for a few weeks. In the interim, I had been working on other projects, other paintings, other deadlines. But on May 11, I was notified that "Autumn Woods at Long Hill" had been juried into the Art Fest Beverly 2026 exhibit at Endicott College, here in Beverly. And delivery was the following week. So I needed to get the painting ready to be hung (labeling, wiring, etc.). I also took the opportunity to spiff it up a bit. So on May 13 and 14, I made a few small changes, most of them probably imperceptible to the naked eye. (Any changes needed to be subtle, since the painting had been accepted on the basis of a photo.) However, I did strengthen the brown lines indicating the branches of those green bushes in the foreground. And I think that really needed to be done.
