Considering the Gherkin. Mel is in London today, so I thought I would post this in his honor. This is a picture of the Swiss-Re Building in London, aka The Gherkin. I took this picture when we were there last December. Today I cropped it and colorized the image to try to recreate the surprise and disbelief I felt when I first saw this building rising up like a rocket behind the ornate British lamp-posts.
