A Portrait in Progress as of July 12

I have been doing a pencil sketch to get ready to paint a portrait, and today I got started, finally. I didn't have much time to paint today, but at least I blocked in the composition and the placement of the face and figure. This is just underpainting, very rough and very early in the process, but it feels good to get started.
