This image began as a photo I took two summers ago, with my old phonecam. Tonight I found the image and decided to open it in Painter IX and see what would happen if I posterized the image. I always liked the photo, especially the color, but the background was too complicated. But I decided to posterize it at a level that simplified the detail in the background, leaving only shapes and colors.
