This began as a phonecam photo of the fading light of evening. In the original photo, the contrast of light and dark didn't really work well. Tonight I opened the image in Painter IX and tried several levels of posterizing till I had the effect I wanted. Then I cropped the image to focus on the soft evening light seen through the lacy shadows of the trees.
