Daylilies at the Pond

During an afternoon walk at the pond, I noticed these daylilies beginning to open, so I took some pictures with my phonecam. I love to see daylilies planted in gardens, in rows against stone walls or fences. But it even better to see them growing by the side of the water. Tonight I adjusted the contrast a bit to make the detail easier to see, and then cropped the image to focus on the bright colors and the patterns of the leaves and stems.
