Mill and River (Oil Bar Painting Day 4) Originally uploaded by randubnick
This morning I went to Red Brick to work on this painting (the Merrimac River and the mill buildings in Manchester, New Hampshire). First, I adjusted the perspective of the rear building; I also made it a little darker as well. Then I worked on the trees and river bank, softening the yellow-green a bit, and adding detail. I also sketched in the suggestion of a roof line. By then, it was time to pack up my paints and leave, but I was glad I made it to the studio today and I am happy with the changes I made.
