Golden Path (Oil Bar Painting Day 2)

This is one of the oil bar paintings I have been working on this week, a sunlit path through fall folliage. This is how the painting when I had finished working on it on Day 2, which was December 27. I added more dark shades to the foreground, and began to add detail to the trees in the distance. I am trying to capture the sense being in the woods, in the shadows, and looking ahead to bright sunlight on the path. (I am using one of my photos for reference, also called "Golden Path" and also found on this site.)
