View from a Beverly Beach

This is a photograph that I took yesterday during a walk on the beach here in Beverly, MA. Part of the shoreline runs behind the houses on Lothrop Street between Dane Street Beach and Independence Park, but the beach is open to the public and accessible through some of the little "pocket parks" on the side streets. (The signs say, "Please enjoy this public way", so we did.) We parked, walked down some stairs, and we were on the beach. The air was cooler by the water, and I instantly felt like I was on vacation! Well, this little break didn't last long, but it made me smile for the rest of the day.
