A Rose For Today (Digitally Modified and Posterized)

Today I walked by some beautiful roses (planted in front of a little strip mall between the bank and Starbucks), so I stopped to look, and take a few pictures. This rose is my favorite. Back home, I transferred th image into my computer and then used Painter's digital airbrush to simplify the background, and then posterized the image just a little bit. Now this looks like it belongs on a birthday cake!
