October Morning (Digitally Modified)

Yesterday, a little after 8 AM, I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful golden light, so I grabbed my camera and took some photos. Tonight I cropped this image out of one of the photos. Then I opened it in Painter and used some digital pastel to clean up some distractions (torn leaves, for example), and while I was at it, softened and obscured the house in the background. Despite the slightly quirky composition, I am happy with this image. But I thought it would look even better posterized, so I tried it and it does. I plan to post the posterized version tomorrow.
