On Thursdays we go to get our weekly haul of produce from The Food Project at Long Hill Gardens. There are lots of vegetables still growing there, and plenty of herbs as well. I took this photo out in the field where the herbs were planted. Although I love to cook, I am still trying to figure out what to do with sage. But I do love its fragrance. I also love the way it looks, which is why I photographed it. Tonight I used iPhoto to retouch the image just a bit (repairing a few leaves), and then cropped it to get this composition. I wanted to capture the texture of the leaves, and of course the color. (Now I know what "sage green" really looks like.)
