I am still editing the photos that I took on my recent trip so that I can share them with friends and family. I also hope to make art with some of the photos. This morning I was working on the photos that I took in the Lake District in England. This image began with one of those photos, the view from the window of a bed and breakfast just outside Windmere. This morning I decided to turn this into a digital woodcut using Painter. I wanted more color in the image, so I added some color overlays as well.

I love this! all the textures and rhythms. The color changes make the foreground and background mix up -- if you know what I meant. Very cool. Love, Mindy
