Back on September 18 I saw some beautiful red roses still in bloom, so I took a picture. We were walking the dog over at the Cummings Center Pond, here in Beverly, MA. The color was amazing! I have been meaning to do something with this image, so tonight I edited it in iPhoto and then used my Painter program to posterize it. There is a lot to love about autumn roses, but what I admire most is the optimism of a flower that produces such vibrant color just when the autumn leaves are starting to turn.
