The day started with rain and cool temperatures. By afternoon, it was still cloudy and cool, but we went to Obear Park anyway. Obear is a little ocean-front park here in Beverly, MA, and it is usually windy there, so I was expecting to be cold. But the sun came out just as we got there. I liked the look of the water shining in the sun, so I took some pictures. Tonight I edited this one in iPhoto. The back-lit clouds were interesting, but creating some visual problems as well. I toned down the highlights and muted the shadows, and then cropped the photo to get this composition. I think I might want to paint this scene sometime.
