Yesterday we had sudden rainstorms in the afternoon, but we decided to try for a walk at Long Hill Gardens (here in Beverly, MA) and by the time we got there, the rain had stopped. I saw some snowdrops in bloom. I liked the way they looked, emerging among the mud and dead leaves, so I took some pictures. Tonight I used Painter 12 to apply a woodcut effect to this one, fiddling with the controls to get the right amount of black to land in the right places.
