This morning I worked on this oil bar painting for about an hour. This is loosely based on one of my photos, originally taken in October of 2009. (I cropped that version to get the reference photo, posted here Dec. 1, 2013.) Today I continued to work on composition, starting with placement of the main branches, and then the berries and yellow leaves.
