Here is my oil bar painting as it looked this morning, after I worked on it for a while. This small oil bar painting is loosely based on one of my photos (posted here on August 14). Today I put just a tiny bit of yellow in some titanium white, and used this yellow-tinted white (or extremely pale yellow) to suggest sunlight hitting the leaves. It's almost too subtle to see if you aren't looking for it, but still I think it helps. I also added a little more light to a few branches. The rest of the time was spent cleaning up lines and fixing little mistakes. There are still a few small things I want to do, but I think I can finish this painting tomorrow, or maybe the day after. . . .
