I worked on this painting late this afternoon. I am painting a scene at Appleton Farms (Ipswich, MA), based on photos that I took there in October. (The photos are posted on this site, January 2nd and 3rd.) Today I started by trying to work out how to indicate fallen leaves on the ground. I also worked on light and shadow on the tree, especially the trunk, as well as on the ground. And I fixed a number of small problems.
