I have been working on this keepsake box, decorated with an old snapshot of my mom that I colorized using Painter. Once I had secured the photo to the inside of the box, I wanted to add a simple border. I decided to create a border with narrow gift-wrap ribbon. (When I was a small, I liked to watch my mother wrap presents for family parties, and I loved to watch her make the ribbon curl.) It was easy to make the border out of the ribbon, and it added a little bit of texture to the box. One last step: painting the outside of the box. To be continued. . . .
