A few days ago, I had to trim a rhododendron shrub while it was in bloom. It made me sad to cut the beautiful blossoms down, so I decided to bring some of them indoors. They have been in a vase in my kitchen since then. I have been enjoying having a close-up view of the blossoms. I have been meaning to draw them, and tonight I finally got around to it. I got out my color Sharpie marker set (a Costco purchase but I love it!) and started to sketch. I kept going longer than I intended to, but I had fun and it is always good practice to draw from observation.
