This afternoon, I worked on this painting. This is oil bar on a small canvas (8 x 10 inches), and I am working from a photo that I took at Long Hill Gardens. (My reference photo is published here, October 18.) Today, I had already decided I wanted to adjust the placement of the apples, so that is what I concentrated on. In the process, I made the red darker (and bluer.) I also started to add a few highlights, and put in a few more leaves.
