It's time to post another recipe on our food blog, seasoningforeverypalate.wordpress.com. This is going to be a recipe for feijoada, a Brazilian black-bean stew, a dish that has played a big role in our family history! I might usually draw a little still life showing the main ingredients. But I decided to try a different idea instead. I organized the illustration like a mandala (circular pattern), with black beans in the center, surrounding by other ingredients and garnishes arranged in a pattern: sausages, oranges, strips of kale. So this morning I did this very rough sketch. The layout is rough, the measurements are uneven, but still I think this might work.
