"Watercolors of Portugal," in Portugal

This photo shows four of my watercolors, part of a series that I painted from photos that I took while visiting Portugal. Portugal is a lovely place to visit, but the main reason I go is to visit Mauro, who came to the US from Brazil in 1985 to study at the University of Kansas. We were assigned to be his host family while he was a student, but it soon became obvious that he was "a keeper." Now he lives in Portugal. Some years ago, I sent Mauro some prints of these paintings, and today he sent me this photo to show me how they look in his new apartment.
