I worked on this painting for a short time today. (Still coughing so I didn't want to spend too much time with my face in the oil bars.) But I was impatient to get on with this, so I did a big of work refining the blossom shapes and adding to the background. This is a small canvas, 8 x 10 inches, and is part of a series called "Branches". I am working from a photo that I took in early September of hydrangeas turning pink. My photo reference is posted here on October 22.
