This is the painting I started yesterday, another mountain landscape done in acrylic paint on Aquaboard. Today I started by working on the sky, using a wash of pale pink (almost white) over the sky, above and below the diagonal line. (I am bringing back a feature from earlier paintings, straight lines in the sky. I like to think of them as jet trails.) Then I added purple to the lower part of the painting, to give some depth to the canyons. To be continued.
