I worked on this painting again today and now I am willing to say that it is finished. On my recent trip to Colorado, I saw some snowy patches above the tree line. Here I used a photo for reference for the composition, but drew from my imagination for the color. For a few months, I have been painting my way around the color wheel, so it seemed fitting to end this long project with grayscale. But I couldn't resist just a little bit of magenta.
