This is the painting I am working on, a "house portrait" based on a photo (posted here September 16). I was a bit short on time today, so I focussed on the foliage in front of the house. My goal was just to work out the placement of those bushes for the composition. Part of the process was to turn both the reference photo and the canvas upside-down. Sounds crazy, but it almost always helps. To be continued. . . .
