Late this afternoon, I had a chance to return to this project. This is a painting of the view you see coming into Boulder. I am using an old snapshot (digitally modified) as a reference (posted here January 2nd). Today I was still struggling with the shapes of those mountains so I kept going with purple and white. Finally I turned both the painting and my photo reference upside-down, and that helped a lot. To be continued. . .
