Today I continued work on this painting. My reference is posted here March 23, a photo that I took during a summer trip to Colorado in 2018. I am trying to capture that glimpse of snow that you can see above the treeline, even in the summer. Today I worked on added some earth tones to the mountains, suggesting earth and rock seen through the vegetation. These are the Rocky Mountains, after all.
