I started a new painting today, a view of the mountains seen from Garden of the Gods (in Colorado Springs). My reference, posted here April 5, is a digitally modified photo that I took during my last visit, in June of 2018. Today I worked on the composition, and started adding color because it was hard to keep track of all of those layers of mountains.
