I know that yesterday I said this painting was finished. But this morning I decided that it needed a bit more contrast. So I used translucent washes to lighten the gray of the mountains and lighten the darkest of the foreground shapes and give it a bit of a blue cast. I added some highlights to add contrast to the tops of the hills in the foregrand. And now I really am done with this one. It is time to start getting this painting -- and 16 others -- ready for the big trip into Boston for my show in November.
