I returned to this painting this morning. Today I worked on refining the figure of Lexi, the dog on the right. Yesterday I printed out a black-and-white copy of my reference photo, which I used to help me see the cast shadows more clearly. Today I used the black-and-white print again to help me see the darker and lighter areas of Lexi's body that reveal anatomical structures. I also did a bit more with shadows cast by Kalimba, the dog on the left. Today I worked exclusively with purple and white paint. But don't worry; these are not the final colors. . .
