On Sunday, I picked up my pre-cut "codfish blank" in Marblehead. I am going to decorate it for the annual "Codfish Auction" to benefit Marblehead Festival of the Arts. This year I plan to decorate my codfish with the black-and-white stone wave pattern seen on the promenade of Copacabana beach. I always name my codfish project, and this year, I am going to call her "Rio Rita, Brazilian Bacalhau." That's the plan, but right now, the codfish blank is still really just blank. All I have done so far is sand the edges. But here is "Rio Rita to Be," sitting in the sun. I liked the shadows cast by the window blinds, so I took this picture.
