Here is my painting as it looked on April 29, 2026. That day I did a bit more to the foreground, adding more texture to suggest leaves. I also added more shadow to the area under the red bushes, and created more contrast in the trees in the background. I made several other small changes, which I have come to take as a sign that I am almost finished with a painting. But I did have more to do. The deadline was approaching to submit a photo of this painting for a juried show. To be continued. . . .
