This is the final version of the painting for my friends. Recently I have been revising the upstairs dormer windows, and the tree on the left (one last time). Yesterday I told Mel that I wanted to hurry up and finish this painting so I could get it to my friends in time for their daughter's wedding next week. "Hurry up?" he said. "You've been painting this for months." Yes, but we had so much fun! Besides, you know what they say: The road to the house of a friend is never long.
