Two Colorado Mountains Day 1

Here is another painting that I started yesterday at Red Brick Art Center. This is acrylic paint used as watermedia, and the imagery is from my imagination and my memories of Colorado, where I grew up. Although I am not trying for realistic color here, the Colorado mountains really do look pink at certain times of the day. Yesterday when I mixed brown and pink together, I really recognized a color that reminded me of the Colorado landscape. This little painting is a work in progress. To be continued. . .
