While I was in the studio the other day to start my painting of Singing Beach (see yesterday's post), I took a few minutes to even out the color of the turtleneck in my self-portrait. Then I began to seal the edges (paint the bare canvas around the sides). I can still see little things I might like to fix, but I am ready to say that this is basically the portrait, as it is here.
