Waiting for Spring at the Pond

I took this photograph sometime last week during a walk at Cummings Center Pond, and remembered it today during a return trip!  The weather has been improving, and today it was sixty degrees!  (It may not last, but here north of Boston, it's important to take advantage of good weather.)  It was warm enough to be comfortable walking at the pond, even though it feels colder near the water. Despite today's spring-like weather, there is still ice on the pond.  Tonight I cropped the original photograph to get this composition.
