Cone Flowers

There was a break in the hot weather this afternoon. (Rain was on the way.) We took advantage of the cooler weather to take the dog for a walk at the Cummings Center Pond (here in Beverly, MA). Lots of flowers were in bloom, so I took a few pictures with my iPhone camera. The cone flowers (aka echinacea) were great, and I liked the way they looked against the stone edging and brick sidewalk in the background. Apart from a very minor amount of cropping in iPhoto, this is the photograph just as it came out of the camera.
